When I first met the owner of Blooms and Blossoms, I was incredibly excited to work with her. She was professional, accomodating, prices were reasonable and she loved what she did.
The horrors didn't start until my wedding day. She arrived on time as we had set up, however all the flowers were wrapped up which she recommended leaving that way until just before we left. She pulled out one of my bridesmaid bouquets which was a calla dyed pink. It looked fantastic. I wished I had looked at the other ones before she had left.
Just before we left for the church, I unwrapped the rest of the bouquets and was horrified to see that they (the calla bouquets) were all bruised - even though it looked minimal, I was expecting much higher quality. Especially my bridal bouquet, this one was the worst out of the bunch. There was no time left to give her a call as we were leaving. My flowers lasted throughout the ceremony and this was it, as soon as we went to take pictures they started to discolour no matter how gentle I was with them. The bridesmaids minus the one she had shown me were holding up no better - needless to say I had bruised messes for flowers for our pictures! It was a disaster for the price I paid per stock.
To make matters worse, the pew enders she set up which we had discussed in detail had a small calla overpowered by a massive bow that was in the wrong colours. It looked so incredibly tacky as if I had gotten 5 year olds to make it for me. And last, we order an expensive centerpiece for at the front of the church - but for the price we paid for it, it was small sloppily put together, and had more bruised calla's!
I tried contacting her afterwards - trying to be a positive as I could, she immedietly took offense to it blaming me, the bride for not calling her during the day to set things right. I am sure every other bride out there knows that it is impossible to take time out of your busy day that is supposed to be special to set things right with a florist whose job in the first place is to deliver high quality flowers. The professionalism went right out the window and she was incredibly rude!!!! I suggest that people steer clear of this florist as she does not stand beside her product and makes excuses! Total rip off!
